Committed to defending the interests of agents and brokers, the federation puts the subjects of VAT and premium collection back on the table.

The National Federation of Insurance Agents and Brokers in Morocco (FNACAM) organized its 7th annual meeting on July 6, 2023 at the Sofitel Tour Blanche in Casablanca.

The theme of this edition is entitled: “Major topics for the profession: between premium collection and VAT on commissions”. This meeting was a unique opportunity for insurance professionals to discuss and analyze the latest market developments.

This year, the subjects at the center of the debates focused mainly on the collection of premiums by intermediaries and the VAT applied to commissions. In a context of crisis, it was time to defend and safeguard the interests of agents and brokers. To this end, FNACAM continues to demand the reform of VAT on intermediation commissions which penalizes agents and brokers. Another topic of discussion the premium collection, which remains a real point of tension.

In this regard, Mr. Farid BENSAID, President of FNACAM said that the 7th meeting was essential for the insurance distribution sector because FNACAM wanted to promote concrete and planned solutions there, on two vital subjects for intermediaries. : the premium collection system and more particularly that of the “Mono” automobile, as well as the VAT unduly applied to our turnover.

All the actors in these debates have expressed their desire to act together to settle these two major issues: ACAPS, FMA, DGI, CGEM, etc., under the guidance of FNACAM.

Renowned speakers were present to lead the debates and share their expertise on these crucial issues for the insurance sector. These include:

  • Mr. Farid BENSAID, President of FNACAM.
  • Mr. Othman Khalil EL ALAMY, Acting President of l’ACAPS.
