Last Thursday, April 18th, the FMBA was present in Madrid at the presentation of the 10th European Observatory of Insurance Mediators, a report aimed at identifying the needs and risks of the insurance mediators community in the continent, conducted by CGPA Europe, a liability company focused on insurance brokers.
The FMBA was represented by its president, Sebastián Cordero, and its General Coordinator, Eduardo Fernández-Agüera. In addition to the report presentation, the day highlighted issues that are still pending legislation that responds to the market reality. This is the case, for example, of professional relationships between brokers, agents, and tied agents.
The event had a large number of representatives from the Insurance Sector, starting with the opening by Mr. Sylvain de Nombel, President of the CGPA Insurance Group. Following this, Mr. Carlos Montesinos, General Director of CGPA Europe Spain, presented the 10th European Observatory of Insurance Mediators. Mr. Nicolas Boheme, President of BIPAR, also appeared, offering a European view of Insurance Distribution.
To conclude the event, there was a panel discussion moderated by Mr. Jesús Jimeno (DSG Lawyers), with the participation of various personalities such as Mr. Javier Barberá, President of the General Council of Insurance Mediators Colleges; Mr. Alberto Ocarranza, President of FECOR; Mr. Jean-François Mossino, President of the BIPAR Agents Commission; Mr. Álvaro Satrústegui, Secretary of ASASE.
